Molding & Coremaking Processes
Our molding and core-making processes utilize a 3-part phenolic urethane cold box binder system. This process produces hard, dimensionally acuate molds and cores with excellent repeatability. This hardness prevents mold wall expansion which is a leading cause of internal casting porosity. This system was specifically developed to produce larger castings with heavy cross sections and has been refined over the last several years to reduce the gas related defects associated with the casting process.
